CBI Staff
The staff of Community Bankers of Iowa has extensive experience in serving bankers as well as professional association experience. From the association's offices at 1603 22nd Street, suite 102 in West Des Moines, services and advocacy exclusively designed for independent community banks are developed and delivered. The association headquarters also features a "loaner office" and conference room available to member bankers by reservation. Bankers are always welcome to visit and the coffee is free!
Donald E. Hole, EVP and CEO
Don joined Community Bankers of Iowa in March of 1998, continuing a 25 year career in banking. Having worked for independent banks as manager of branch administration, retail management, sales and marketing, as well a stint with Norwest (by acquisition), Don brings enthusiasm and innovative thinking as well as experience to the association. He has an undergraduate degree in Business and Journalism from Central Michigan University and a Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University. He has been an instructor for AIB, and taught at various community colleges.
Cathy Sue Kelly, Vice President
Cathy joined CBI in June of 1998. Her experience includes serving as CEO of the Hawaii State Bar Association, executive assistant at the Iowa State Bar Association, assistant court administrator in the judicial branch, and work in the legislative staff of the state of Iowa. A graduate of Drake University, Cathy is responsible for periodic special events and meetings, staff liaison to the CBI Leaders of Tomorrow, the Council of Presidents, graphics design, and the annual meeting and convention.
Pretty Patel, Information Specialist
Pretty joined CBI in 2002 and assists all areas of the association with projects, communications, data support, coordination and execution. Ms. Patel manages and maintaines the association website, database and other critical information. She coordinates the use of CBI offices by member banks. Her experience prior to CBI includes the State of Iowa.
Megan Hollinger Membership Development Director
Megan Hollinger joined CBI in December of 2010 as the Membership Development Director. She is responsible for the development of new members for the association as well as ensuring current members are utilizing their membership to their fullest capability. Megan is originally from Shenandoah and obtained her B.A. in Business Management from Simpson College. She brings with her 10 years of business development experience from the recruiting and payroll industries.
Jackie Haley Membership Services Director
Jackie Haley joined the CBI team in December of 2010 as the Membership Services Director. Originally from Fort Dodge, Haley is an Iowa State University graduate with a B.A. in Communications. She has worked at the State Capitol for a legislator and was the Executive Director of the Nevada Chamber of Commerce. Most recently, she was the Membership Director for the Agribusiness Association of Iowa. As Membership Services Director for CBI, Haley will be working to help members understand and take advantage of services offered through CBI.
