In the past, CBI’s Best of the Best Competition has given focus to activities made by community banks throughout the month of April. But community outreach is a year-round commitment, and the pandemic year of 2020 gave rise to prime examples of the efforts made by community banks every day.

To that end, CBI’s Best of the Best Competition will forever be expanded to include community banks’ activities all year long. We want to spotlight all of the ways Iowa’s community banks are making a difference on Main Street in their fundraising, education and volunteerism efforts, as well as spreading the community banking message. And we want to reward one standout bank with a pizza party for the entire staff, compliments of CBI!

New Competition Guidelines
Until now, CBI's Best of the Best Competition guidelines encompassed community outreach activities through the month of April. But now we want to see how community banks have been serving their communities and spreading the community banking message all year long.
In your entry submission please provide a full description of your bank’s activities throughout the year 2021 (Jan. 1 - Dec. 31). Include additional materials like:

- photos, print & digital collateral
- social posts
- press clippings & radio announcements
- and whatever else you’d like to include for consideration.
The deadline to enter was May 17, 2021.

The 2022 Best of the Best Competition winner will be announced in front of Iowa’s community bankers during CBI’s 51st Annual Convention in Okoboji, Iowa. The winning bank will receive a complimentary pizza party for bank staff hosted by CBI, a feature in an issue of CBI’s weekly e-newsletter CommonCENTS, and an article in the Summer Recap edition of the Community Banker Update!
