2024 CBI Poster Contest
Celebrating 25 Years! Since 1999, Community Bankers of Iowa has sponsored the Money Smart Week Poster Contest as part of Community Banking Month festivities and the Money Smart Week awareness campaign hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago to increase financial literacy among children.

The Federal Reserve has retired the Money Smart Week program, but CBI will continue its annual poster contest. All community banks and their branches in Iowa may participate in the 2024 CBI Poster Contest.
To enter, elementary students in 2nd through 6th grades
should design a poster that answers the question:
"Why is it important to know about money?"

1st Prize: $600 Certificate of Deposit
2nd & 3rd Prizes: $300 Certificate of Deposit

Prize Certificates will be set up at the banks that submitted the winning posters,
and are funded by the Community Bankers of Iowa Education Foundation.

PARTICIPATING COMMUNITY BANKS: Please submit all Poster Contest entries for statewide judging to the CBI office to arrive by Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

STUDENTS/SCHOOLS: Submit Poster Contest entries according to the deadlines posted at local participating community bank branches, or by Thursday, April 18, 2024.

Winners will be chosen and notified by May 2, 2024, and announced to the public by May 10, 2024. Sorry - poster submissions cannot be returned.

Sponsoring the contest is open to Iowa community banks and their branches.
Registering your bank helps CBI inform the public as to which Iowa community banks are sponsoring the 2024 CBI Poster Contest in their areas. To register your bank to participate and to download the Marketing Kit, click the button below.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Beginning in 2025, community banks in Iowa who are also CBI members are eligible to participate. Non-members may still run poster contests in their banks, but entries may not be submitted to CBI for state-wide judging.
