April marks Community Banking Month, a nationwide celebration recognizing the many contributions community banks make to their customers and communities. Community Bankers of Iowa are encouraging our members to embrace Community Banking Month and spread the word about what makes your bank an integral part of your local community.
The month-long celebration is kicked off with the signing of a proclamation by Governor Reynolds declaring April as Community Banking Month in Iowa. Activities include the Money Smart Week Poster Contest, the kickoff of CBI's Best of the Best Competition, and many other local community events across Iowa that reinforce the importance of community banking. Together, community bankers can focus the public’s attention on the many ways locally owned and managed banks are making positive change happen across Iowa. In 2023, we want all Iowans to know that community banks are “Making A Difference On Main Street!” |
