LOT encourages the development of the next generation of community banking leaders by annually presenting $1,000 scholarships to TWO deserving high school seniors.

Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship is
NOW CLOSED.
The 2024 submission period will
​reopen in late February 2024.
The Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship is awarded to two high school seniors during a presentation ceremony at the Community Bankers of Iowa's Management Conference and Annual Convention, held in July in Okoboji, Iowa.

All Applicants MUST:
  1. Work at or have a parent, grandparent, or guardian who works at a bank that is a member of Community Bankers of Iowa. Secondary relatives such as siblings, aunts, uncles or cousins are not eligible.
  2. Write a brief, one-page essay detailing what role community banks play in your hometown.
  3. Submit a copy of your high school transcript.
  4. Submit letters of recommendation from two non-relatives.
  5. Include all community or extra-curricular activities.
  6. Complete and return the Scholarship Application or apply online.
Community Bankers:
​Hand out a flyer or display a poster in your bank to notify employees about CBI's Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship Program.

The Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) is a program created by Community Bankers of Iowa (CBI) to enhance the growth, leadership, and networking skills of future banking leaders. LOT establishes a network of leaders who serve and strengthen their communities and advocate for the community banking industry.
